This is also the factor why this TOEFL test is difficult to take. To make sure they pass the test, they will have some practice for the upcoming test and get a good score. For us, English Department student, the minimum score is 480. That is why some are debating and measuring their skills hardly.
Now I will show you one of the web.

Killing 2 birds with 1 stone (learn writing & listening in this site)

Hi everyone back with me again now Teguh Saputra. I found this website while surfing the internet. Basically this site allows you to hear the language and then asks you to fill in the words by typing them. It is a helpful site.

Here some screenshots

In the second screenshot you see that we have 4 options :

1.    -. Full Mode
In this option you need to type the whole letter of a word that you heard from the music / video that you chose.

2.      - Quick Mode
In this option you only have to type a first letter of the word that the speaker said. So you race with the time to complete this option.

3.     -  Blank Mode
In this option you have to fill the blank that ha been prepared yet by the blogger. By the way I love this option because it was enjoyable to me.

4.     -  Correction Mode

In this option you need to type the whole sentence and correct. I think It’s the most difficult option.

If you want to know more check it out this link :

see you next post :)

Online English Dictionaries

Hi and welcome back to our blog, "Technology 4 Education".

This time, I will share you some online dictionaries I found it before days that I think is very good to use, as we are learning almost everything including English with technology. Let's just jump to them!

1. Cambridge Dictionaries Online
I tried it before, and it is one of my criteria for my work in English Department. It helps me to find
some definitions I never heard before. Well, it is good for you too! It also provide you some other
    language besides English.

2. Merriam-Webster Dictionaries Online
This is my alternative dictionaries beside Cambridge. I feel it interesting because of its "Word of
the day" they mention in the web. I even wonder why they make it their "Word of the day".
Honestly, it is also a good online dictionary.

3. Oxford Dictionaries Online
This is also a good online dictionary. Well, if you're looking for deep definitions, this is the place
that fits your expectation. Try it right away or you will regret it.

4. Collins Dictionaries Online
This is also one of my alternative in english dictionary. I also use this dictionary to find some
linguistics terms for my study. It helps me a lot, and you should try it, too! It is made long ago, but
still up to date until now. I bet the quality is good!

From those dictionaries, I can conclude that, due to development of technology, people encouraged to make almost everything digital, rather than conventional one. It is to make it easier to access everything in internet, than buy the object then read it. Well, it is the advantages of these dictionaries which provided online.

Okay, that is my today's post. I hope you like it and will try to access those dictionaries after reading this, and see you later in "Technology 4 Education".

Healthy and safe tips in using computers

Hi and welcome to our blog "Technology 4 Education".
This time, I want to tell you some informations that useful when using a computer.

We all know, this era, almost everyone use computers. From kids to adults, they use computers. They can be using it to learn online, or office work, etc.

The way you use the computer can be determined in health. If you're wrong, you can get some consequenses of using it. Not to take all your time, let's just see some healthy and safe tips in using computer.

- Make sure you have both an adjustable table and chair so that ergonomic accommodations
can be made for each person using the computer
Imagine if you're using your computer with conventional table or chair where you can't adjust the
height, it can be a problem if a kid using it.

- The computer screen should be front and centre so neck turning is unnecessary
No wonder if you're using it in front of you. It is to avoid neck injuries caused by having a
computer not in front of you.

- The computer screen should be at eye level so little neck movement up or down is necessary
Almost the same like above, to avoid neck injuries.

- The chair should be adjusted to that forearms and wrists are horizontal to the keyboard and
   little wrist movement is necessary
Just like usual, it is comfortable using computer horizontally rather than having your arms to reach
the keyboard a little above your arms.

- The chair should be at a level so that legs are bent in a 90 degree angle with feet flat on the
   floor
Having a comfortable position is the best when using computers. Just like your arms, your legs are
also have to be in good position to avoid some injuries.

- Adequate lighting that does not produce a glare on the screen should be provided
Don't ever use a computer in the dark. It will hurt your eyes. Just turn on the lamp in the room and
   you'll be fine.

- Ensure breaks every twenty minutes
Rest your eyes every 20 minutes. They said it may hurt your eyes, because when your eyes are dry,
radiation from the screen is greater than when your eyes are moist.

From those tips, it will surely encourage everyone to do the same thing mentioned above. We as technology user who learn and study from technology, are people who have to be healthy and safe when using the technology itself. That is why, it is important for us to learn with healthy way than learn and then get sick.

That is for today's post. See you again in the next post in Technology 4 Education! See you!

Improve your spelling with this app!

Hi everyone did you know that studying for a spelling test is continue until college. If you think that learn spelling is childish no need to be shy. Try this app to learn spelling from the beginning.

This app focuses on nouns, There are more than 500 words available to practice, with the added bonus of adding your own lists.  These can be customized to show which ever lists are most appropriate. The spelling test option allows users to choose which list they want to test, the level, and the number of questions.  The easy level has letter blanks, and one letter showing.  The medium level takes away the hint letter and adds a timer.  The Hard level has no blanks and us  free type their answers.  Each word is stated allowed and users must type the correct spelling of the word.  A results page at the end lets an adult flag misspelled words for later practice and gives a mastery report that can be used for progress monitoring yourself.

My favorite feature of this app is the ability to customize my own spelling lists.  I also like the option to shut off voice or pictures to make the task more challenging.  The ability to add users and generate data also was a nice perk for the teacher in me.  I'd also love to see an option to shut off the timer.
Nouns with Spelling Test is a nice spelling app.  So download it immediately now!
