Another Games for Learning with Fun!

Hi and welcome back to our blog, Technology 4 Education.
This time I want to share another games website to learn some subjects for fun.

On this site, you can play many games from their own categories. From math, social study, language arts, and more. They are simple games, you can learn and have fun when playing it. Most of the game can be played in your iPhone and iPad, while the other can be played online on your pc. Here is the example of the game.

Well, all of the games are dedicated for children at age 6 to 12 years old. I play it because it is fun. I can sharpen my memory from the games. In this "Spellerz game" you try to type the words below a UFO before the time is out, and more will coming again so it will be a linked words to type. Otherwise, you lose the game. Well, fun, right?

You can visit the website here :

Improve your spelling with this app!

Hi everyone did you know that studying for a spelling test is continue until college. If you think that learn spelling is childish no need to be shy. Try this app to learn spelling from the beginning.

This app focuses on nouns, There are more than 500 words available to practice, with the added bonus of adding your own lists.  These can be customized to show which ever lists are most appropriate. The spelling test option allows users to choose which list they want to test, the level, and the number of questions.  The easy level has letter blanks, and one letter showing.  The medium level takes away the hint letter and adds a timer.  The Hard level has no blanks and us  free type their answers.  Each word is stated allowed and users must type the correct spelling of the word.  A results page at the end lets an adult flag misspelled words for later practice and gives a mastery report that can be used for progress monitoring yourself.

My favorite feature of this app is the ability to customize my own spelling lists.  I also like the option to shut off voice or pictures to make the task more challenging.  The ability to add users and generate data also was a nice perk for the teacher in me.  I'd also love to see an option to shut off the timer.
Nouns with Spelling Test is a nice spelling app.  So download it immediately now!

A Nice Multi-Purpose Software for English Learning

Hi and welcome again to this blog for information about Technology for Education.

Today I will share a software for those who want to improve their writing skills, dictionary, etc.

WhiteSmoke - This is the name of the software.

As you can see from the picture, it provide us some menus about writing, translator, dictionary, and templates.
In Writing Menu, you can check your writing here for some correction, they are, of course, spelling and grammar. It will tell you how many mistakes or errors you made in your writing and will fix it for you. Simple right?

In Translator Menu, you can translate words from many languages to another languages based on your liking. For example, you want to see the meaning of 'Mother' in 'French', and you get Mère for the French. Just activate your internet connection and you will get it, 100%. Check this picture.

In Dictionary Menu, you can check a word definition based on the languages. You can check English to English, or even Multilingual. Check this picture.

You see? Cool right? Activate the internet again and enjoy it.

But buried beneath all the fluff is a treasure trove of great how-to and educational content, and because of the site's 10 minute time limit on most videos, you can learn new things in no time flat. you can with YouTube EDU section, which aggregates content from colleges and universities, then branch off and search the site for how-to clips on any topic you want to learn about.

Hi and welcome back to our blog for a place to share anything about education with technology. This time, I will tell you about "Scrabble". Talking about Scrabble, you should already know what is it. It is a board game popular in the world where you arrange words with available tiles onto the board to score the best. It's usually popular among kids, but also for adult. Because, it tests your skill in vocabulary, whether you're knowledgeable enough or still need practices. Okay, now you see the title of this new thread. SCRABBLE play in your PC. Yes, it is available as a software so you can challenge your friends or family, and even challenge against the AI available in the game. So, these are the picture of the Scrabble itself.

Just like the original Scrabble, the game is the same. I even have to think so hard to play the game, because I'm still lack in vocabulary, hehehe. It is the bank of vocabulary for English learner. The faster you arrange the word, the length of the word, the more experienced you are in English.

IPA Help - Application to Learn English Phonetics

Hi and welcome again to our blog for your Educational infrormation. This time I'll share with you an application for learning English Phonetics.

As you can see, there are some category to see. In each parts, there will be many things you can try out. For example 'Consonants'.

There are Phonetic Symbols like 'p', 'b', 't', 'd', etc. When you click the symbol, there will be a sound coming responding your click. It is the way you pronounce the mark in English. The Non-Pulmonic ones are used in different languages beside English, like Russian, etc. Now we're moving to 'Vowel'.

This is where you want to see how is the condition and position of your mouth and tongue when you pronounce something. For example, the 'i' and 'y' symbols, will need you to close your mouth and have your tongue in front (near your teeth but not touching it). While 'a' will need you to open your mouth and having your tongue also in front. This is important when pronouncing English.

At any rate, this will be a useful application for those who want to deepen or improve the way to pronounce words properly in English, including me myself who learn Linguistics. You can explore more of the parts by yourself later.

You can download it here :

Regards come to the publisher, SIL International. Even though it's free, respect the authors of it.

Ok, that's all for today. I hope it will be a useful information and also a good information for your English study. See you next time!
